01
Autonomous AI SRE agents
StackGen Aiden for SRE
Runs the incident lifecycle on the observability stack you already have: SLO-aware triage, root-cause analysis, blast-radius assessment and policy-driven remediation.
Note: Free Community Edition; paid tiers. Vendor claims a 55% average MTTR reduction.
02
Autonomous AI SRE agents
NudgeBee
Full-loop AI SRE that investigates incidents, cites evidence in its root causes, drafts postmortems and gates remediation behind approval. Self-hosted with readable source.
Note: Free up to two clusters. NudgeBee also published one of the source lists, so treat its ranking as vendor-authored.
03
Autonomous AI SRE agents
Resolve AI
Troubleshoots production issues with parallel agents and a dynamic knowledge graph, using a graduated-trust model that moves from advice to full automation.
Note: Pricing: contact sales.
04
Autonomous AI SRE agents
Sherlocks AI
Dispatches many specialised agents in parallel to investigate an incident across infrastructure layers and posts the root cause in Slack or Teams.
Note: Investigation-focused, limited remediation; needs solid existing observability.
05
Autonomous AI SRE agents
Traversal
Enterprise AI SRE that builds a continuously updated causal model of your production system (a "Production World Model") to triage alerts, find root causes and turn diagnoses into automated remediation. Read-only by default, with bring-your-own cloud and model.
Note: Commercial; pricing not published. Customer results on its site (e.g. 38% MTTR cut at DigitalOcean) are vendor-reported.
06
Autonomous AI SRE agents
Middleware OpsAI
AI-native SRE agent on a unified observability platform: eBPF telemetry, cross-domain root cause analysis, GitHub pull-request generation and Kubernetes auto-fix.
Note: Pricing not disclosed.
07
Autonomous AI SRE agents
Harness AI SRE
Combines AI-assisted triage and incident response with change-impact analysis across deployments and feature flags, plus chaos-engineering integration.
Note: Pricing not disclosed.
08
Kubernetes-native
Metoro
Kubernetes-only AI SRE using eBPF for zero-code-change telemetry, autonomous issue detection and deployment verification.
Note: Reported at $20 per node per month with a free tier (Stackgen article).
09
Kubernetes-native
Komodor (Klaudia)
Kubernetes operations platform whose Klaudia agent correlates logs, events and deployment history for change-aware troubleshooting and autonomous remediation.
Note: Pricing not disclosed.
10
Kubernetes-native
K8sGPT
Open-source CLI that scans a cluster and explains problems in plain English. Self-hostable, bring-your-own model, extensible analysers.
Note: Free, Apache-2.0 licensed (verified on GitHub, Oct 2026).
11
Kubernetes-native
HolmesGPT
Open-source investigation agent (CNCF sandbox) that works backwards from an alert to a root cause across Kubernetes, VMs, cloud and databases.
Note: Free, Apache-2.0 licensed. Repo moved from robusta-dev to the HolmesGPT organisation.
12
Incident management & alerting
PagerDuty AIOps
Cuts alert noise with ML grouping and intelligent routing on top of PagerDuty, with auto-pause for self-resolving alerts and change-impact mapping.
Note: Alerting-focused; limited automated remediation. AIOps is a paid add-on.
13
Incident management & alerting
incident.io AI SRE
Runs the incident lifecycle inside Slack and Teams with AI-assisted investigation, Service Catalog context, call transcription and postmortem drafts.
Note: Tiered per-user plans; on-call is an add-on.
14
Incident management & alerting
Rootly
AI-native incident management, Slack and Teams first: conversational investigation, automated timelines, summaries and post-mortems, plus on-call scheduling.
Note: Keeps humans in the decision loop; deep root-cause work needs other tools.
15
Incident management & alerting
BigPanda
Event-correlation and automation platform that reduces alert fatigue by merging related alerts, enriching them with topology and accelerating incidents.
Note: Incident-management layer only; limited remediation.
16
Observability-native AI
Datadog Bits AI SRE
Triages alerts using telemetry and service context, testing hypotheses against live data. The product page now reads "Bits Investigation"; Datadog Watchdog supplies anomaly detection.
Note: Credit-based pricing on Datadog's side; vendor-reported 3-4 minute investigations.
17
Observability-native AI
New Relic Applied Intelligence
ML-based incident correlation and root-cause suggestions across New Relic observability data.
Note: Works best with the full New Relic stack.
18
Observability-native AI
Dynatrace Davis AI
Causation-based root-cause analysis driven by automatic dependency mapping and topology, from infrastructure up to user experience.
Note: Enterprise-oriented; Davis AI is included in platform consumption billing.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers before you start a pilot.
What is an AI SRE tool?
An AI SRE tool uses machine learning and LLM agents to triage alerts, correlate signals, find the likely root cause of an incident and, in some products, propose or run a fix. It sits on top of your existing monitoring, logging and tracing.
Do AI SRE tools replace on-call engineers?
No. Most keep a human in the loop, with approval gates before remediation. Several vendors use graduated autonomy, starting with advice and only automating once trust is established.
How do these categories differ?
Autonomous agents investigate and may remediate across your stack. Kubernetes-native tools focus on cluster failures. Incident-management platforms coordinate people and cut alert noise. Observability-native AI is built into a monitoring suite you already pay for.
Which tools are open source?
K8sGPT and HolmesGPT are both Apache-2.0 licensed. NudgeBee is self-hostable with readable source and a free tier for up to two clusters.
Can I trust the MTTR numbers?
Treat them as vendor claims. Two of the three source articles come from vendors (StackGen, NudgeBee), and the third relies on vendor-reported metrics. Run a pilot on your own incidents before deciding.
