What is Big Data Computing?
Big Data Computing refers to the technologies, frameworks, and methodologies used to
store, process, and derive insights from datasets too large or complex for traditional
relational databases. Characterised by the 5 V's — Volume, Velocity,
Variety, Veracity, and Value — Big Data workloads span batch processing (Hadoop/MapReduce),
real-time streaming (Kafka, Flink), and cloud-native data lakes (AWS S3, Azure Data Lake).
