How This Ranking Works

4 entries

This page ranks nine large Indian IT services companies by revenue for fiscal year 2026 (FY26), the year ended 31 March 2026, in Indian rupees as reported in each company's results. The ranking covers listed companies that report on a March year-end and is not exhaustive: Hexaware reports on a calendar year and is listed separately, and many smaller firms appear on the Indian IT Services Companies page on this site. Revenue is for the whole company and may include products and other income streams, headcount is as of 31 March 2026 where a figure could be confirmed, and figures come from company results releases and press coverage of them in April 2026, so check each company's filings before relying on any number. Rankings are not endorsements, and descriptions are paraphrased.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which are the largest Indian IT services companies?

By FY26 revenue (year ended 31 March 2026), the ranking on this page is TCS, Infosys, HCLTech, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, LTM, Coforge, Mphasis and Persistent Systems. The ranking covers large listed companies that report on a March year-end and is not exhaustive.

How is the ranking calculated?

It uses each company's full-year revenue for FY26 in Indian rupees, as reported in its results and in press coverage of them. Revenue can include products and other income, and companies report slightly different definitions, so differences between close neighbours such as Coforge and Mphasis are small.

Why is Hexaware not in the ranking?

Hexaware reports on a calendar year, so its figures do not cover the same period as the March year-end companies. This page lists its latest quarterly figures separately.

Why are some headcount figures missing?

Where reports disagreed or a March 2026 figure could not be confirmed, as for LTM and Mphasis, none is shown. Persistent's release gives only an undated "over 27,500" employees.

What do FY26 and constant currency mean?

FY26 is the Indian fiscal year from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026. Constant-currency growth removes the effect of exchange-rate changes, so it can differ from growth in rupees or dollars.

Where can I see more Indian IT companies?

The Indian IT Services Companies page on this site lists 30 companies in four groups, and the Indian Product and SaaS Companies page covers software product firms. The Nasscom site has industry data.

How current is this page?

Figures were taken from results released in April 2026 for the year ended 31 March 2026, and Hexaware from its release of 28 October 2026. Links to company websites were checked on 2 November 2026; the TCS and Infosys websites returned 403 to automated checks, which looks like bot blocking. Verify numbers in the company filings, and note that rankings are not endorsements.
